I discovered Cancun when I started traveling through Cranbrook for work a couple of times every month in July 2020. I have made it a point of going back at least a couple of times a month. Food is excellent! Very fresh tasting and I have tried several of the dishes on the menu. My favorite is the chicken chimichanga. Service has always been with a smile and I just can't say enough good things about the restaurant. Menu pricing is very reasonable and portions are large. Will definitely stop here when I'm in Cranbrook next!
This place is AMAZING!!! Had chiles rellenos and horchata but can’t wait to do papusas next time! So great to discover this authentic Latin American gem in Cranbrook.
Tonight we decided to do something different for dinner and try a new place to us. Cancun Restaurant in Cranbrook it truly amazing. The service was also amazing. It felt like we were sitting in grandma's Mexican kitchen. We both left fully satisfied and we found our new favorite place.
Lovely place, awesome service. The food is the kind that, first bite, takes you back to any town you've visited in Mexico. Authentic corn shells and wonderful food at a great price. I will deffinitly be back!
The best and most authentic Mexican food in Canada that I know of!!! Extremely good flavor! Also really good drinks. Try the Horchata drink, super delicious! Friendly Spanish speaking staff. Sure worth going there. Highly recommended!
Definitely an authentic experience here at Cancun! Very friendly and hospitable host/owner, always smiling. We have been here a few times and thought that the food was ok and service a little slow. But this last visit really was great. I think having actually been to Mexico now, then coming here afterwards, really showed the authenticity. My daughter goes often and raves about the taco trio plate. I had the mixed fajitas and I was stuffed. Fresh food, great portions and friendly staff. Worth a visit.
Fantastic! Authentic for sure. I love Mexican food and this place certainly nails it. Super friendly staff, nice and quiet. Great portions and great prices. Complimentary nachos and salsa are great. Just like Mexico! I love how the fella speaks Spanish. Can pretend I'm on vacation for an hour. Ill be making special trips down from Radium to eat here!
Authentic and fair prices. Very hard to find real Mexican food in BC and Alberta, so this was a nice find. Soups start around 7 and the main dishes don't exceed 20. The sample plate I ordered was 17. Portion sizes are good - complimentary chips and salsa was appreciated. You will get this in Texas and Mexico, but Canada doesn't tend to give anything for free. The menu isn't extremely user-friendly for those not familiar with this cuisine; however a quick Google search or asking the server can help solve any questions. It's always a treat to experience restaurants like these, and enjoy the unique flavours and family recipes. A previous reviewer was complaining about cash only? We had no issues paying debit, I think credit may not be accepted here though.
